Born in California and raised in Northern Virginia, Ryan Ellis began racing when he was only four years old. He's won national championships and major races in professional series as Grand-Am/IMSA, Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup, and many more. Ellis began racing in NASCAR in 2012 for smaller/mid-sized teams, even "start-and-parking" for a few seasons to make a name for himself at the NASCAR level. He made his NASCAR Cup Series debut in 2015 and has made a career since driving for small and mid-sized teams, making the best of each opportunity. He joined Alpha Prime Racing in 2022, running 11 races that season, 31 in 2023, and announced that 2023 will be his first full-time season in NASCAR, driving the No.43 Chevy.

Ellis is married to his wife Allison and together they have a daughter Hayden and two pups named Barry and Andy. They live in Huntersville, North Carolina, and in his free time, Ryan enjoys working out, playing hockey, and playing video games with friends.
